... on and around the Island.<br><br>We quickly got our stuff together and went to the meeting place where we were to be picked up. a short drive later we were at the boat port awaiting our boat to the volcanic island. So funnily enough there were a group of aussies hanging around discussing what they were going to do next as the boat to Mykonos they were supposed to be on had been cancelled. this trip was very special to me,because it was the first one after I finally finished with school and had the freedom to do everything I want,without anybody else controlling me!the only thing I wanted to do is find a nice place with great people to relax and so I did.i met many interesting people and it was a journey to remember!

... we had bought a lovely ring the year before. After speaking with them about sizing options, it was decided we could have it adjusted back home cheaply, and without casuing any damage to the ring itself. <br><br>We then went thru the small but fascinating Santorini Museum, where entry just happened to be free for a few days! Once again, blue and white buildings, but here there were really old white windmills springing up all over the place.    Ios seemed very quaint and villagey, and us 8 Americans may easily have been the only non-locals on the entire island. ... hot summer, most of the landscape was dry and brown &#8211; all the vegetation looked wilted due to the scorching weather. <br><br>We did not see many villages as we were passing through the village but I remember we were going mostly uphill most of the way. ... day. <br><br><br>Dinner at Chora:<br><br>By the time we reached Chora, we were totally famished! Due to my tiredness and hunger, I just sat myself down at the first decent restaurant in central Chora and asked for the menu. Although Argi was not happy with my choice, he was too nice to protest. The restaurant has an<br>English menu, much to my delight, and I started ordering my food, which was more Italian ...

... potatoes, bread, beets, greek salads, melon for dessert and beer, wine and soda. We had a very small dingy which we used to take turns shuttling items to the beach. We dug a small hole, built a little BBQ area with some rocks, and used some charcoal we had bought that morning before leaving dock. In no time, we had two fire pits and enough food for 20 people (with only 9 to feed). The food was unbelievable and ...

... back on that throttle and really opened up all 50cc's of mayhem as I struggled with all my effort to keep that caged tiger under control and keep the front wheel from lifting up such was the power of my bike up those steep inclines. Im really looking forward to Santorini. It is literally half an hour away by boat due south west and since that is the direction i am facing at the moment and i am facing to my front then I am theorectically looking forward to that.

So I finally made it off of Mykonos only to find myself on the island of Syros to make a connection to the ship that should have taken me to Santorini. Unfortunately, the bad weather followed us....actually it just kind of settled over the Greek Islands. ... has it the sun never goes down the whole day, so the crazy Swedes drink themselves into a stupor and party through the night. By the time late June rolls around there's more than enough Scandinavians for a party and everybody else is more than happy to make an excuse to get smashed all day long.
