We then headed up to the 2nd and more quiet pool bar, also owned by Farout, where we lazed around with Mitch, James and some other people that they'd made friends with prior to our arrival, enjoying the afternoon. The port itself seemed to look straight out west, and what do you know but not only could you differentiate between sky and sea you could also see a brilliant glowing orange sun! Even more luck was on our side as our Ferry ended up arriving later than scheduled meaning we were able to watch the entire sunset from land! So we did finally get our Santorini sunset :)

This meant Paul and I had to catch two local buses, one to Fira and then one to the port. On our last bus we saw a heated argument between the bus ticket boy and a tourist, shirts were ripped and air punches were thrown- an exciting end to a great time. On the ferry the four of us slept on the floor and eventually arrived in Athens at around ...

It was an early morning as the majority of the tour group were heading down to the port in Athens to catch a ferry to the Greek Islands. Our first stop and our home for the next few nights is the party island of Ios. It was a 4 hour ferry ride to Ios and thankfully the weather was perfect. We arrived in the port of Ios and walked just up the hill to our hotel. There weren't many plans made for the next few days as everyone just wanted to relax.
