Arrived safely after an uneventful journey. Gatwick as busy as ever. Easy Jet is fine has aeroplane with wings and engines that gets you where you want. What else is needed?? Bologna has a very old centre and a sprawling superb. It is a bit of a centre of travel with a hub railway station and airport. Over the years the old city walls have been knocked down but some remain to define the old city from the newer bits. Sadly raining quite hard which rather limits sightseeing. ...

... stuffed ravioli's. And then also some more wine, of course. After we ate, we went to see 52,000 legs of ham hung in the factory. So happy we went to see those AFTER we ate because it was so smelly, but I really do love prosciutto. A lot like parmigiano reggiano, prosciutto de parma is specific to only that region. If it is made elsewhere in a different way, it is just plain old prosciutto.
