Sadly we couldn't stay up for the bingo and quiz night being held in the lounge of our hotel - we beat the senior citizens to bed - all this touristing really takes it out of you. We arrived in the late afternoon (thanks to the GPS lady who guided us right to the door).
My Devon cousin lives in an old stately home on the banks of the Torridge River,
near Bideford, Devon. The original part of this house is estimated to be at
least 200 years old. It has been added and updated over the years so that it is
    now about 4500 sq. ft. sitting on 4 acres. It’s a ...

We had a stop over on the way to Penzance from Timsbury. It is a fair drive, so we would stop in this little crossroads in Exmoor Forest. The drive through the forest is beautiful with valleys and hills. I hate to sound complacent but this seems to be just normal for England. I like to check out the houses and these are back to the stone houses that have lots of character. No cookie cutter surveys here!
