... vyrazili zpět do města skrz poměrně úzké uličky z plna obchody i flexibilnímu prodejci deštníků přímo uprostřed křižovatek. Turecká vlajka se samozřejmě vyjímala u skoro každého vchodu.
Během krátké procházky opět začalo pršet, a tak jsme se zaběhli schovat k internetu, kde píšeme i tento příspěvek.

Trabzon, Turkey desequerah... would walk around and play a drum to
wake everyone up so that they could pray and then stuff themselves
with food and liquid before sunrise; and at dusk the minarets of the
mosques will broadcast a reminder to pray and after that you can eat,
and everyone does: all of a sudden a city would become a ghost town;
the streets eerily quiet, devoid of traffic and noise because
everyone was eating between 7 and 7:30 PM.
I
have heard some horrible ...
... my face, and went to meet Ronald. So shameful, but so be it. That Quarter Pounder tasted like a fine steak. We also can't forget the fine entertainment we received each night from the loud karaoke bar that sat just below our hotel room. Nothing like drunken karaoke at 1am when you aren't the one participating. We wish we could share it with you. We really do. Westward bound! Enjoy the pictures! Jon and Liz
Trabzon, Turkish Black Sea Coast, Turkey jon_and_liz... so I joıned ın befor lookıng around for a hotel/pensıon ın darkness. The hılls and headwınd were energy draınıng and as I was thınkıng thıngs couldn't get much wosrse, I found myself swattıng mosquıtos most of the nıght. I dıdn't feel bad at all when I looked at the blood and mozzıes smeared all over the walls ın the mornıng, I just left. Trabzon, Turkey ckalenchuk... Of course everything had meat in it. I hate having to explain that I do not like meat, not that I am a vegetarian, but I just don't like the way most of it tastes. Then everyone thinks I'm out of my mind followed by the panic of what they should feed me. It almost ended up being spinach with egg again...I HATE SPINACH WITH EGG!!! I only caught it because I know that in Turkish egg is yumurta. When Nunu came back around, I asked him what they planned on making and put an end ...
Trabzon, Turkey abilazerOctober 3, 2007 So it is the official first day in Trabzon. I slept. Not well, but at least it was not interrupted by vomiting and whatnot. After showering, I felt a bit better. We took a minibus then a relative's car to the mountaintop where Nunu's grandparents live. The air is a lot cleaner up here. I slept for the majority of the day, trying to recover from my mystery illness. When I ate, it was soup, potatoes ...

Trabzon, Turkey yellowdragon... I have resorted to my meagre German, as the locals are more likely to speak Deutsche than Ingleise. It is only mid 20s, but I have that constant glossy forehead look. Trabzon is humid as hell. And the food isn't exactly inspiring here. The views aren't the best. The roads are annoyingly busy. There is no one to talk to. But the town isn't a one hit wonder. There's the Monastery (1), and there's the shop on the corner of the market at the sleazy end (2). Worthwhile in my books.
