Grabbed a coffee at a Starbucks and after a quick look around this little town we hit I84E. After passing through some very uninspiring country we suddenly drove into a magnificent belt of agriculture - cereal crops, hay crops, lucerne, fruit and veggies - you name it, it was grown on an enormous scale! Visited craters of the moon nat'l park in arco, Id. Very cool! We climbed over lava beds, up lava cones, looked down into lava bursts, one still had snow in it!! It was really amazing! After that we went to Yellowstone bear park, saw lots of native animals, elk, deer, antelope and of course lots of bears!! We are headed to Yellowstone and grand Tetons tomorrow. Supposed to be in the 30's tonight!! Brrrr! , but 80's ...

We finally make it to Salt Lake City. I have always wanted to see the lake, so we follow the map and find it. The lake has a large beach area, but we only see birds there and no people. We get out to take a few pictures ...

Because Chris is sick we definitely wanted to hitch a ride. We stood in front of a gas station on highway 20 thinking we could intise people with free gas for a ride to Idaho Falls. Not even 10 minutes later in the cold wind, a couple stopped and said, "bad day to be riding a bike" and offered a ride(they did not accept the gas :). We talked about everything from where they were from, their new greenhouse, tires, whats a good ...
