... We didn't have coin but the guy at the turnstile took our bills, gave us change and let us through a gate. Since we were still dripping wet and extremely hot, we decided to spring for a cab, which was not bad in price. All the cabs are metered and the driver took us directly to the hotel.

... a highlight just to experience the ride on the San pan putt, putt, putting around the harbour. Next stop was at a jewellers, where we were shown how pieces of gold and diamonds were handmade into beautiful pieces. We wandered around the showroom, being shadowed by the assistant who would appear the instant we stopped to look at something closer, offering to get the piece out for us to look at more closely!!!! In the end we just went out to wait in the bus ...

... hit it low and hard into the back which I was usually able to fetch. That win places me at 9th overall for the tournament out of 29 players in the 45+. I'm pretty pleased with that result for my first World Masters. All of the players have talked about the nerves that they have had to overcome. Mine were definitely in my second round loss. So 4 and 1 for the week, not too shabby. Our American comrade,Julie Kessler, won her match today in the consolation plate final, 3-1. ...

As if Hong Kong isnt mad enough, the US Fifth Fleet popped into town and the place got turned up from 10 to 12 on the insanity level. Wanchai was the place to be if you wanted in and everyone got into the spirit of the madness. The US Navy are always well behaved and enjoy a party without hassle.
