... the perfect life style I want if it wasn’t for the cold water and weather since I can learn French but I cannot change the weather. Red flag on the table for France if I were to choose a place to retire.

It’s been a week since we left Holland and started the journey down south… living out of our ladybug car Citroen Berlingo, which I fixed comfortably with the help of Hans, Cindy’s stepfather. We probably have ...

... apparently, a hotel! I ran up to the top so I could take photos, no easy task, as walking in deep sand is very good exercise indeed! Luckily there was a set of stairs and a rope handrail for going up, and I plunged through the sand barefoot on the way down, quite fun, actually!

... local light house still operates. (And has a heap of steps to get to the top.)
Every small town has its own church in the town square. Some are ver impressive inside - love to do a gig in a few of them.
Near Archaron they claim they have the biggest mobile dune in the world. Moves about 1m per year and attracts hoards of tourists.

... it was time for an ice cream cone, and then a nap and then dinner at a place very near the apartment. The duck was excellent served with a fig sauce and very crispy golden potatoes. For dessert we ordered the cafe gourmand, a plate with tiny portions of different desserts and a cup of coffee, the perfect way to end a meal and our last night in Arcachon. Tomorrow we are going to another beach resort on the Atlantic called La Baule.
