Merry Christmas everyone

A travel blog entry by muller14

So the train made up some time and pulled into Nha Trang only 20 minutes late. We were met with hustle and bustle and heat! But were soon packed into a taxi and heading towards our hotel. It was instantly noticeable that Nha Trang was far busier than the quaint Hoi An! We arrived at our posh (Christmas treat) hotel 4* no less! Soon we had are rooms …

Mui Ne to Nha Trang

Day 7: Mui Ne to Nha Trang

We are checked out at 8:00am - meet our new guide 'Huy' along with our new driver ‘Tung’.

Loaded aboard our new vehicle, a larger one this time, we head off on our journey towards Nha Trang. Once again the surrounding countryside throws up some surprises, in that the terrain is vast and …

Day 8 - The Adventures of Burke, Wills and Wives

A travel blog entry by mrpeters

Our Nha Trang tour commenced en route to the Waterfalls. It was 45 minute drive with pleasant scenery. The city and surrounds are very undulating.

We arrived at the Waterfall entry point and commenced our 25 minute hike to our location. Along the way there was a vendor selling beer at 9.30a.m. Not an ideal time, so we declined the kind …

Day 7 - Brewhouse and Beyond

A travel blog entry by mrpeters

We went to Louisiana Brewhouse for lunch. This was located on the beach near the Sailing Club. It is a restaurant complete with its own pool and access to sun chairs on the beach.

After lunch we headed to town for a massage. It was 160,000 dong for a 1 hour massage.

Wade and I had a facial shave on the streets from one of the …

Day 5 - New Years Eve Party

A travel blog entry by mrpeters

It was New Years Eve 2010 and we going to party hard in Nha Trang.

We headed to Lanterns for lunch and Wade and I enjoyed a delicious Pho Noodle Soup. This was probably my best of the tour. The girls settled for some Western food, although Kel's BLT was missing the bacon. Erin kindly donated some of her excess bacon. Thank you Erin.

    Nice hotel shame about location

A lovely hotel situated about 1.5 km from train station and about 2km from main tourist areas of Nha Trang. Hotel is large and clean and has many facilities, staff are helpful but found the menus limited, would of like to see more local dishes, rather than western tastes.
