... just to follow the crowd. We walked around the station looking for an exit before we all came to a stop and confessing that no-one actually knew where we were going. I pulled out a map to guide us to our accommodation at Khaosan Fukuoka and passed it David, asking him to lead the way - my brain was no longer working. Pulling out a map out of my bag was used all my remaining mental energy. I trailed behind Alistair and David as they marched ahead using only the map ...

People who know me in my German environment might think that is a bit rich coming from me but trust me the moment I touch ground in Narita or Osaka or wherever in Japan, I blend in. If not physically than at least culturally. I bow, apologize and try to use polite language as much as possible. Sometimes I wish I could transfer this to my German ...

... which Asian nation they were off to taunt as they made several flights overhead. We ran out of time for a grilled oyster lunch as we needed to get Peter back to Hiroshima for his afternoon train to Tokyo. We took the fast boat back and directly up the river to the peace park landing, a nice way to see the city of six rivers. Lunch was sushi (we chose not to try hamburg sushi -a little beef patty on a handful of rice did not appeal), dinner was wonderful pork ramen with thin ...
