Started off the day with a 40 min ferry ride that was located right beside our hotel on the river. The ferry was the easiest way to get to Miyajima and was also the most scenic way to get there. We past right beside the A-Bomb Dome memorial to start off our trip, then slowly headed out into deeper water. It was so amazing seeing all of these little islands clustered together off the shore with their own little ...

I was really tempted to take a picture of every single one (roughly 650) but just about stopped myself. On ...

Tiny train station, no escalators or elevators to help us with our luggage, but we manage to get up and down the stairs. Just when we are about to get into a taxi a lady in a van pulls up who as it turns out came to pick us ...

... roam around the island freely. They were very people friendly and sought out any food or paper based items to eat including a woman's magazine and someone else's leaflet. We headed first to the cable car area where you can go up Mt. Misen. It took quite a walk to get there but we took some photos of the Torii gate along the way. Once at the cable car we got a single trip so that we could walk back down the mountain. The weather ...
