    ... so we went on the beach linked to the hotel and had a very enjoyable swim and sat enjoying the sun. Another lovely day in paradise.Friday we had a very early get up,packed our passports, visas and Euros and off we went to Kos in Greece. We were picked up at 7.30am near our villa and after quite a few pick ups we ended up in the town centre where Daniel and Gill were waiting.     ... between the flights, but it became an anxious clock-watching exercise as our next flight began to board and we were still nowhere near the domestic airport. Happily, with only moments to spare, we made it onto the flight. Nobody felt great by the time we arrived, and whilst Bodrum looked lovely enough, the time change meant it was now late afternoon and a strong, cold wind was blowing.     ... wind picked up. The meltimi had returned, Saturday eve the thunder and lightening returned and it caused the electricity to go, thankfully we knew where the torch and candles were.     ... it was a devastating cyclone that killed people in The Netherlands and UK, but in Orkney it was finally acknowledged as more than just a breeze. We learned that Orkney use to earn its income form herring fishing, then the herring ran out in the North Sea, so they turned their hand to chicken farming. They supplied Scotland with chickens.
