... fronts of the many many yak meat shops. Usually conclusions either came down to stomach or testicle (we're not yak doctors, yeah?). In this form, the meat looks pretty unappetising, though it is almost certainly something similar which fills the delicious fluffy white steamed dumplings that make up our breakfast most mornings, usually together with a pot of cold noodles covered with chilli, sesame oil and vinegar - see you in hell/may, weatbix! It was a very scenic 6 ...

They said I would need to leave the hostel at 430am to be at the airport in time and coincidentally there was a couple who had just gone to get money out to pay for a transfer to the airport in the morning. They were flying to, you guessed it, Hong Kong at 730am, although we later worked out it was a different airline. We decided to share the transfer and split the costs. ...

But, I almost feel like its some kind of rite of passage for being in China. You haven't lived until you've had diarrhea while squatting. :) In the afternoon we caught a 16 hour night train to Chengdu. I really like the trains here, they are so smooth you barely notice you are moving. The group ...

... amp; Deli. This is an american dinner that prides itself on good hearty western food including steaks and pies, and feels just like your Grandma's kitchen. Lets just say that the Texas size burger and beautiful salmon pasta went down very well with a thick strawberry milkshake and apple pie. Yum Yum!!!

So after Chengdu it was time to get our second train to Xi'an. So join us next time when we go to see the Terracotta Warriors.
