... Chinese racoons. Visited Sanxingdui Museum north of Qanghan- 4000 years ago a civilization was here (at approx. same time as the Mayan civilization). This culture lasted almost 2000 years and disappeared about 2600 years ago; site is at 30 degrees latitude- mysterious at same time as the Mayans...why? It was in the 1929 that the artifacts were first discovered - included jade and bronze- this area was conquered by Qin dynasty ...

Life in China is so breath taking... You can tell by the expressions on our faces, we were overwhelmed to hold the giant, fluffy, slightly heavy, & very adorable panda in our laps. *How did the photo shoot go? Excellent! What a cherish able experience! *What happened basically? We picked out four outfits, had makeup/hair done differently with each, and posed as our photographers positioned us for beautiful/creative shoots! :D ...

... of about $20 plus dinner; for two hours Monday to Thursday. This was actually pretty good, as at school I was being payed the same money though for 9 hours work every day! I then asked the man, what would happen if I began working, and he never gave me the money I earned? He said, "No worries" (in Chinese) and whipped out 2000 RMB out his wallet (about $350AUS)! So I'd been paid a month in advance to tutor his four year old… and he had only just met me in a shop!

Sunday 22nd

First visit today was to cliff carvings done by local farmers 2000 or so years ago. They were completed over many years and the sheer scale and extent of them is impressive. Our guide explained a bit about the Buddhist interpretations of them. If we'd been there ourselves we wouldn’t have understood anything of that.
