... of bamboo a day so they need to spend a lot of time eating. We had a guide who was very helpful and answered any questions that we had. There is also a hospital and laboratory on site.

A mother panda sat and watched her baby playing and so did we. He ran around and climbed a tree, then did a somersault down the hill on his way back to his den. Very cute.

... a menu, even though you have finished eating, finished your drink and have your bag around you ready to go....logic goes out the window! A phrase book is definitely recommended for China! We get starred at a lot here, some girls smile and giggle with embarrassment when you catch them looking or randomly shout out Hello! Others have no smiles, no expression, just rudely stare beyond a sociably acceptable period of time, sometimes I feel like sticking my tongue out ...

... out of the taxi. We searched around the train station for our driver who would apparently be holding our names up on a card, but after about 30 minutes of looking we gave up. Neither of us had a mobile phone to call the hostel to find out where our driver was, so we knew the only option when we were stuck in the middle of nowhere like this, was to challenge the ever so happy taxi drivers...

We luckily had a small flyer for Mix Hostel which we picked up before we left Guilin, ...

... got out of the car, one experience richer! hmm, so much for our boring day.
We went up to our room and made ourselves a cub of herbal tea. It is so good it is the tea we purchased in Beijing by the temper of heaven. calmed down and took the kids to the pool.
We are a little stressed today as there are problems with our flight from Honk Kong to Tahiland. We are leaving for Honk Kong tomorrow and spending tow nights there ( we really felt that would be enough) ...
