... on the fish platter and Dan started on the beef, it was amazing, truly amazing. Each piece of raw food was marinated, cooked in the broth to however we liked it and devoured in seconds. We swapped and tried using each other’s broths to cook, both agreeing that the house spicy one was best. The beef was extraordinarily tender and melted in the mouth, the clams and squid were gorgeous and literally required thirty seconds cooking to be perfect. ...

... through a tea producing area - the first we have seen on this trip and have a short break at a tourist tea plantation. Where courtesy of our local guide we have a taste of tea ice cream - it was good.





The Grand Buddha is carved into a sandstone cliff face and took 90 years to complete. It was originally built to pacify the river demons...

... go about their daily business of sleeping and munching bamboo. Things seem to be set up quite well in the park.

Enclosures were pretty large (especially for animals who don-t do much all day) and the breeding program appears to be yielding good results in order to save the species from where they are headed: extinction.

Another quiet day reading and lounging in the hostel and off ...

... really hot. Strangely enough these pandas here have AIR CONDITIONED indoor areas !!!!!

Anyway the pics say it all it was a great day out.

Oh and the pics of the goldfish are mental - people were putting in fish food and they were literally coming out the water to get the food - crazy giant goldfish !
