When the news isn't showing people breaking news of the death of loved ones to elderly relatives, or showing people stuck in evacuation centres without the medical treatment they need, it's closely monitoring the situation at the Fukushima nuclear power plant, which is isn't exactly encouraging. Tokyo - Day 1
Touched down in Tokyo yesterday (Friday) at 3:40 PM after leaving the US on Thursday at 11:36 AM. We are officially living in the future! We took a series of 3 train rides to get to our location in Tokyo, which took about an hour. Fortunately we have our friend Shoji to guide us around and translate because we probably would have ended up in Hiroshima without him.
