... is made and distributed in Switzerland - not sure if I like knowing that Cheese lasts for a year or not, but it was still quite awesome bc we ate lunch here and everything was full of awesome cheese!

It has been a great start so far - our program has 33 students from all over and it has been fun getting to know everyone and seeing how University life differs in Europe from the U.S!

I spoke to my parents and grandparents on Skype which was nice, but it ...

... but after an array of obstacles (the boys getting into a argument with the bouncers due to a lost coat in the cloakroom, being denied by many cabs despite offering them €100 to take us home, standing hours outside a train station in very negative degree weather and catching a bus at 5:40 am which didn't actually go to our area) we finally made it home at 7:15am. Tired and needing to thaw, I fell into a warm bed and slept the remainder of New Year's Day! So as ...

I continue down a peaceful country path up the valley, past lush grassy fields and little forest groves. One unique thing here are little wooden huts scattered throughout the fields. Not quite sure what they're for--my guess is they are for storing hay or something. Does give the fields a bit of character. Also along the way are little shrine-chapels with ...
