First, I am going to answer some questions I've received via the comments sections on other posts.
Did you finally get the right hair conditioner?
I did not manage to purchase the conditioner myself, but Chris was finally able to. True to form, the sales girls tried to sell him some outrageously expensive conditioner before he found anything reasonably priced, but in the end he did find it. Now my hair can be luscious and shiny ...

Today we left the farm after having breakfast (which was exactly the same as lunch and dinner at the farm but they added some boiled eggs! We are sick of cold green beans, pumpkin, egg and tomato and potato noodles which seem to be part of every meal at the minute!!) It was then a 6 hour bus ride to our next stop in ...
... we only were able to stay in the village for a few hours because we had to meet up with the rest of the group for lunch. When we walked into the restaurant, we saw a table of food ready for us to eat. As we got closer and closer, we realized we wouldn't be eating much... Here's what the menu looked like: Pig feet, an entire fish (with eyeballs and all), bean curd noodles, and several other dishes that were made of Lord knows what.

... The views into the valley were spectacular and only got better as we walked along. I was able to see the "road" and the windy road after the tunnel. We came across a derelict old house that would have been quite palatial in it's time.
We turned back when the sign on the road indicated a windy downhill stretch. No more climbing for this little black duck.
Back at the hotel we waited for ages for the tour "guide" to get a bus and ended up leaving closer ...
