    I'M TIRED
    I'M DIRTY
    I'M GRUMPY
    I'M LUCKY TO BE ALIVE
    I'M IN HENAN PROVINCE . . .

. . . But before this, there was a local legend.

In the morning I met with, photographed and filmed an interview with 66 year old Mr. Shen Chunfu, one of the last survivors of those who built the tunnel road across the narrow valley from where I was staying. In 1970 Chunfu was a handsome, slim 26 young man who, for the next five years ...

The train ride took ...

Today was our last day or Summit/Training before we leave for camp. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria as we have been for the last few days. We had some sort of fried bread which looked like a doughnut and was pretty good. It was a very windy day in China, a breeze is a rarity so it was a nice surprise. We had our last two meetings which we talked more about safety at camp and the social dynamics of camp. I didn't get to sit throughout the full social session because one ...

... China with his family. He was asking me where I was from and when I said PA he said his father was originally from PA, more specifically Scranton! I couldn't believe it!! Usually no one has even heard of where I'm from, let alone have a personal connection. As I was going back down to the conference room I noticed a small golden dog sitting in the laundry room of our building. As many of you know I absolutely ...
