... skeptical as there have been rumours that the government does this on occasion whenever they feel it necessary. What that means, I am not sure. The conditions are growing worse here. Without running water, in the schools, or our apartments there is no way to clean ourselves, clothes, dishes or at the very most flush the toilets. I fortunately have a bucket that I filled with water before it was shut off, so that I am still able to flush when necessary, but the bath rooms at ...

... hair cut. I had need a trim for a while, but was -for obvious language barrier reasons- afraid to go and have my hair cut. Really, it would grow back but I am very attached to my long hair and the thought of it being chopped off was terrifying. I went with a fellow teacher during our lunch break. When we walked into the salon, it felt like a old barber shop, with Chinese jazz music planning, old brown leather chairs and the smell of cigars! Getting past that however, the ...

The Documentary was insightful and I caught my self becoming ...

I got lost for 3 hours in the streets of zhengzhou. Ended up back at my hotel at 2am. I asked 4 different cab drivers (some of the cab drivers while I was on the street of the hotel) where to go, none of them knew what I was saying. Good exercise I guess?

Here are some pictures I took on this journey..I should of taken more but wanted to reserve battery on my phone if i happened to find some wireless somewhere.

It's popular in China to get elaborate photo shoots done before your wedding. There was 5 different settings with different outfits for each setting. It took 10.5 hours for the whole thing to be completed. Basically, hell on earth!

Haha, still glad we did it though!
