We left sunny Shanghai and travelled along the freeway for a few hours to reach the ancient historical capital of Hangzhou, one of 8 capitals in China's history and the home of our sister school, No14 Hangzhou Middle School.

One of them tells as follows: Longjing tea was granted the status of "Imperial tea", in Qing Dynasty by Chinese emperor Kangxi. Barely took any photos in Hangzhou as it ****** it down most of the time we were there but here are a few. Hangzhou isn't much of a wintery place really as most of the activities are based around the lake. We attempted to walk around it on my birthday but got soaked through so went to a silk museum instead. I told you it was three wet and wild girls let loose in China...We made up for the ****** weather by going for some real nice food at a restaurant called Grean Tea restaurant though. ...

... and stumbled upon a little road full of tea stores. The green tea and jasmine leaves were laid out in big baskets drying, and there were lots of silk stores and other little tourist souvenir places. It was SO beautiful.
