We spent the first part of today visiting the Chinese Natural History museum here in Zhengzhou. Four of the families made the trip, while the fifth stayed at the hotel to take it easy. It was about a 25-minute bus ride, and the museum was air-conditioned. We saw some interesting Chinese culture there, with many items dating back to the era around 500 A.D. Zackery played the role of camera man while we were at the museum, and he did a great job. Both he and Zayne seemed ...

... group is going to the park tomorrow morn. at 9:30, so we will join them then. We ate the buffet at the hotel for dinner. Very good food, Julie and I had some duck that was tasty, and all four of us ate fried noodles with a sort of Wonton juice on them, and then topped off with "meat paste". It was a very good dish. Zayne eats like crazy. In between meals he snacks on crackers, puffers and wafers, and then when ...

For example, the "kids" meal (which we didn't order, but our friends did) consisted of two chicken wings, just like you would get at Buffalo Wild Wings, spinach and a breaded prawn. We opted for dumplings and pork with rice. The dumplings were a hit (except for a few bites with noticeable veggies), but the rice dish ended up all over the ...

... we gave him with each of us, as he would hold one out and point to one of us and smile when we ate it.

Back at the hotel we had just enough time for a quick bath, then to a group lunch inside the hotel. We all had honey buns filled with pork, and when Zayne spotted the chopsticks, he insisted on using them for the rest of the meal. He's not an expert with them, but probably about on par with ...

... at the sixth floor. We saw a bunch of things like a gym, big swimming pool, pool tables, ping pong table, and a Wii. It was very exciting but the fitness room is for 16 years and up :( . -- Zackery

The smog index is high today, as you will see from a pic I will include. Like I said before though, you don't really notice it while your walking around, as it seems to hang over ...
