We went to Thousand-Buddha Hill (Qianfoshan) today. Many steps to climb to see several temples, including the huge Xingguochan Temple, the beautiful Maitreya Buddha and the lying Buddha with a Swastika on his chest, and a cave of 130 buddha statues.
We later found out that there is also Thousand Buddha Cliff which is a different place, 35 km away from Jinan with more Buddhas carved along a 35m wall.
We then went to Yinhuchi Jie (Muslim Food Street).
We booked a driver for 650yuan to take us on the 2 hour journey out to Mount Tai. This is a UNESCO world Heritage site and is one of five sacred mountains in China for thousands of years. There are 22 temples dotted around the mountain, and several hundred steps to climb to the summit. Will and I arrived in Jinan for Qing Ming (Tomb Sweeping) weekend break. We went to the Park which is where the Baotu Spring originates and had a wander around. It was quite cold and polluted, unlike Ningbo yesterday when it had been very warm and sunny.

After returning to our dorms at Beijing Normal High School, at around 10:30 pm, we all crashed hard. Tomorrow we have a long day ahead of us again. When quick comment, "Is daddy in jail?" My daughter asked this when seeing pictures of me inside or dorm rooms here. :)

All of the kids had a great experience and many kids came back with food and gifts. We met back at the hotel and waited an hour and a half for our bus to return to the hotel. Our luggage was below the bus so we had to wait in the lobby.
