A Sneak Peak at Next Season's Shelves

I head to Guangzhou with no real plan. I'm not sure there is much to do in the city as I only know it as a gateway to Hong Kong and ground zero for expats teaching English in China. I've come to meet friends but need to find something to do to kill time while they are at work. I've been told there is a little island easily accessible, full of old colonial buildings and picturesque walks. I begin making plans to check ...

The game proceeded as everyone had expected. Us all sucking.
But it was good in that we all sucked together. This made mini golf a lot more
interesting. I still came in last in my respective group, but, the scores were
such that no blew anybody away. It was still a close game as Zac bested us in

I was already in too deep and the last ounce of sobriety told me to go home, which I thankfully did, but Zac on the other hand summoned the courage and marched ...

... stashed to burn down the office! We did not find any batteries for our Go Pro.

We had reservations again at the Pullman Airport Hotel where we stayed earlier. It is just a block from the airport. We picked up the bag we left in their storage three weeks ago. We were surprised to be offered a free upgrade to their club level. We were styling again as “frequent guests”. We stopped by their club lounge where we found a pretty decent buffet ...

    Biking at Da Fu Shan

... there must have been thousands of bikes for hire.

I can't imagine how awful it would be to arrive and find not many bikes left - if everyone was in the park, on a bike, you would barely be able to move!

We had a nice meander round, and one of the girls tried to learn to ride. It's not a given for Chinese people, similar to swimming isn't. If they don't live near ...
