Are there subways?
There are no subways where we are. Luoyang is a very provincial town. People are more traditional, and the city itself, while modern, is definitely more backwards than many other larger cities in China. I'm going on a trip next week to the other side of the country via train, so I will let you know how that goes!

... refreshing. It feels good to get off campus and outside of Huishui! We're seeing and learning new things every day over here. It's really neat to actually live in a foreign country, and have the opportunity to fully experience a different culture. We're lovin' life and soaking in every second of the time we have left. Our return is only a few weeks out, and we're already upset thinking about having to say goodbye to this perfect place and all that it's offered us.

It was on this road that the really twisty road that I saw on the internet was.The road had really sharp switchbacks and many of them. It led to the village of Nan Ping where we were the day before. ... the road to change buses. Then we were up the mountain. It is very lucky we have these specialized drivers as the road is amazing. It twists and turns and loops back on itself.
