... went to the pearl factory! I got my pearl ring that I've wanted for the longest time. Everybody got a little something. After the pearl factory, we went to Elephant Trunk Hill. We then made our way back to the hotel for our tour's farewell dinner. We said goodbye to our tour guides and the other families we would no longer be traveling with. ... having them here - I really liked having people to talk to at
home, as it's not like I can have conversations with my neighbours yet.

We had also been very lucky with the weather - it was quite warm, but not unbearable, and after the cold of NZ very welcome. Apart from the rain on Friday it was dry, but I was sorry that there were no thunderstorms, as they are very impressive. Maybe next visit...

... both orphanages, the girls were called by their Chinese names. We were greeted by the Doctor, the Nurse (both cared for Hannah), the Director and another Assistant Director. A special part of the meeting happened when they told us this was the Doctor that gave Hannah her Chinese name, which means strong and beautiful.
