... village was quite a sight also... There are grains spread out in front of the houses, presumably to dry but I'm not sure why! There was also the vegetable Bok Choi EVERYWHERE. hanging on people's balconies, driveways, washing lines, everywhere! The few villagers there were did stare quite a bit but it was not in a rude way. They're seem intrigued by westeners and indeed I was approached by a man who began streaming out Chinese ...

The travel did take more time than expected as the last bit of the travel went on on small streets in the mountains which were actually not made for 2 busses to pass at the same time. Not really a big tourist place, more like a get away from the city. I can see the appeal of staying in one of the many $500+/night resorts on the top of the mountain. I opted for the $30/night hotel at the bottom. It was quite nice. Moganshan has made onto the list of places I would return to. There is potential for camping...

Day 11 Sunday 28th August 2011



Up at 6am to sort out my case and then down to breakfast. Stomach is not so good again this morning. Had some breakfast and then on to the bus. There are only 15 of us going today. There was a 45 minute ride on the bus to the village which has 30,000 people living there. We travelled through the countryside and saw the crops and saw where the guide Alan lives. ...
