    ... got in and beat anyone else comfortably. It was embarrassing because in Australia we are both laughed at for our swimming ability.

    8. They're not that pushy for sales.
    Based on trips to Thailand and Bali our expectations were that Chinese people would be pushy. Not so. They really didn't care if we bought their store items or gave them a donation or ate at their restaurant. They were staring at us...but not pushy.

    ... The big shopping area was very close. But, you never would have known it if you walked around the local streets. It just all of a sudden smacks you in the face! We all got a few things there. We could have walked around all day and spent all of our money if we really wanted to. Currently, we are repacking our suitcases and getting ready to leave tomorrow. We are going to Lucy's tonight for dinner where we will have a great American style dinner. ...

    We walked from our hotel to a spice/herb market. There was stall after stall of different herbs and spices. Local Chinese come here and tell the shop keeper the symptoms they are experiencing and he will give them the correct herb for what ails them. Along with the plant herbs we also saw different dried animals and animal parts: centipedes, millipedes,star fish, snake skin, sea horse, and no trip to the market would be complete without seeing live ...

    Today we experienced Hannah's city. The first stop on our tour was Hannah's orphanage. Our last trip here was 10 years ago so we were anxious to see the changes and hopeful for what the day would bring. As we pulled up the drive, I thought we were at the wrong place, it looked all new and the two massive statues were gone. The orphanage had statues of a woman and a child out front.
