    ... Beverley from the Sunshine Coast and Rob and Beverly (yes another one) from Ryde in Sydney. It turned out the two Beverleys had relations in common in Rockhampton – unknown to both of them !! So – old home week !!

    Daniel Mallari made a return to the stage tonight and was well received again. Very enjoyable performance.

    Tired from our shore travels today so just back to the cabin after the show for a movie / ...

    ... in Shenzhen and asked for a ticket to Houjie, only to be told 'Mei you'. It was nearly 9pm by this point and I pretty much felt like crying, thinking what was I going to do? My phone was about to die and it seemed from the people I was asking that buses stopped running at 9, so not much point in trying another bus station.     ... of a hindrance than a help, as many of the roads are not written in, and then some steps up might be drawn in as a road. It took us a long time to realize this, and so it has taken us all three days to get home without getting lost. Luckily, toilets are everywhere, and so getting lost isn't a problem. Locals have set up 'restaurants' in their little courtyards, and so there is always somewhere to eat. Seafood is the speciality here, and so that's what we have eaten. Oyster omelets, ...

    ... here was quite pretty, lots of light on all the buildings and along the harbour, many ships here as Xiamen is a major shipping port between Taiwan an Xiamem.
    A lot of the Aussies did the same shore excursion as ours so we all experienced abit of cultural and the beaches and the shops.
