Our final full day in HK started like the others, with a hopeful glance out of the window to check whether it was still raining, and it was! Yep...the inevitable rain arrived today! But hey we did well it's been nearly three weeks! But we didn't let a little bit of rain stop our exploration just a trip up to The Peak (there didn't seem much point with the city covered in clouds!!).
To start from the beginning we headed out on the Star Ferry last night and caught the breath …
... tourists so we got on the metro and headed there. One is the SOHO district. This is the main area for bars, restaurants and shops. The unique thing here is that the area is connected by the worlds largest escalator system (2,600ft). In the mornings before 10am the escalators go down the hill and after that they go up the hill. We spent most of the day just walking around and sight seeing before heading to the airport.
... nearly 36 hours in total via Korea (I think) and Jordan but it will be good to get home for a bit.
