Upon arrival in good old BKK and once we'd left the plane, the heat hit us like an open furnace. The tunnel leading from the plane to the departure lounge was like an oven but once we'd entered the terminal the AC kicked in and we could breathe again. At passport control there was mayhem - why is it only the Brits really know how to form an orderly queue? Oh well, something else we'll have to get used to, as well as the heat. We walked out of the terminal to be confronted with "touts galore"....

This morning, after breakfast, we took another look around the area and we noticed that the streets were a lot more interesting than we thought last night. There were a lot more stray dogs for a start and a lot more motorbikes nipping around the roads and onto pavements carrying paying customers who were perched behind the crazy rider!
