Bangkok for 36 hours was a ram jammed day of being 100% tourist. I managed to eat 2 pad Thais, a Thai green curry, mango sticky rice, mango smoothie, fresh lime juice, bubble tea. I ate in small street side stalls and completed my stay in south east Asia culinarily well! I was shattered at the end of a day seeing the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha, Wat Po and the large reclining Buddha, climbing up The Golden Mount. I walked along the ...

... our main priority!! We dropped our bags and made our way to the State Tower just down the road. We headed up to the 64th floor to Lebua and the Sky Bar where they filmed the Hangover Part 2. The view of Bangkok from up there is just unbelievable...so pretty and the breeze was a bonus:) The whole place is so impressive, I recommend anyone to go there. I'd been dropped at the Mandarin, rather than Mandarin Oriental. So.... ...

A very hotday today as we spent the morning having a long tail boat ride through the klongs (Bangkok has over 1500 of these canals. We stopped by a temple to feed the catfish. It was like jaws with all the fish thrashing about to get their share. It is supposed to bring you luck. A dead fish floated by and our guide said that the monitor lizards that live hear eat them up. We saw one lying against a tree, very camouflaged so difficult to spot.We moored up to visit the ...

The first day of our honeymoon is coming to a close. My goal for the day was to spend time in the sunshine and not take a nap. I succeeded in both of them. I hoping I'm not speaking too soon when I say that I think we're acclimating well.

After brunch we we spent a little more time relaxing and then headed out with a very rough plan to see the temple of the reclining Buddha. Peter had scoped out which train would take us there but in searching for ...
