We woke to see the city in all its glory from our room on the 40th floor at the Centara Grand at CentralWorld. What a view! We took well over an hour eating our buffet breakfast, which was fantastic! Jake chose a plate of sticky rice and donuts, whilst Meila took a more traditional approach, choosing bacon and sausages. Geoff and I indulged in shrimp dumplings, something which I never imagined I would eat for breakfast, but delicious all the same! After breakfast we hired a tuk tuk to ...

... washing done and I headed out to make a dentist appointment. I don't like dentists, and I can't imagine it will be any better when I don't understand what they are saying to me, so tomorrow at nine o clock is going to be generally displeasing. Following my short walk to the dentist the day rolled on by and before we knew it, it was sunset and we realised that we were meant to be going out for a colleague's (Max's) birthday. So we got ready and grabbed a taxi up to JJ Green, ...

The best present would be news of details of when we go home.

Thankyou (Kob Khun ka) to all the wonderful birthday wishes - I know you are all there sending positive vibes - definitely feel it. A special huge Thankyou to the Sullies and Woollies ringing from Siem Reap ( or were they still in Phnom Penh??) and the amazing rendition of Happy birthday - was amazing guys. Wish we could have been celebrating together.
This will definitely be a birthday I will never ...

... Joking'. He seemed to find this very amusing!

He drove a fairly new Fortuner. This had a substance that looked a little like a flour and water paste painted all over the ceiling. We asked the driver what it was for. He said it was prayers for safety on the roads. He then proceeded to pick up his mobile phone and ring his brother (whilst driving). Shortly later, he pulled over and said 'One minute please. My favorite mall. This one is themed, with each floor being a different international city - London, Paris, San Francisco, Istanbul, Rome, Tokyo. There are various monuments like Golden Gate bridge, Red buses, and even the toilets are themed differently. This is set up like a market as well, but a bit classier. Speaking of the toilets, they had Japanese ones that have a bidet the pop up and clean and dry your bung hole - that was a bit of a shock!
