Carretera Tulum - Boca Paila Km 10 Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, 998-884-9690-/-887-3828
... ceiling but we all really enjoyed it. Afterwards we went back to the hostel for lunch and decided to head to the beach. This time Ian decided we should walk the 2.5 kms to the beach which we did and even managed to get a ride on the shovel of a earthmover for part of the way (which I know the taxi drivers weren't happy about!!). When we finally arrived at the beach we all ran into the beautiful turqoise water and enjoyed the amazing Caribbean. A bit later I left the boys and went to the ...
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico julesjb... It was the tinniest island with one house and one tree. That was it!!!! Too picture perfect, like one of those emails that is circulated around your work of amazing photos you KNOW have been touched up – a child cropped here, a mouth made bigger there, a polar bear put into the streets of New York. But this was real!! Nice way to leave the islands of Belize I thought!
We bought tickets for the buses we would need to get to Mexico (SO excited about this as we really ...
... naechsten Tag machten unsere Koepfchen brumm brumm.
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico cristinita... but we soon found out that it was in fact the owner but he lives in the US! The staff member who dealt with us didn't seem to care about our problem, which was made worse by the fact they were fully booked so we couldn't get another room. Disheartened, we spent the next hour and a half trying about a dozen hotels in the town. We finally found a room that was very cheap - when we went inside we could see why. I could have put up with the giant cockroach in the ...
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico sarzmc... a cabana on the beach here, and attacked is not really a violent enough word to describe exactly the kind of ravenous blood fest that took place here... I know its wet season and to be fair we were warned about them but ive never seen so many of them ...
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico renee.thompson... had had more time to stay here...... Hurrying round the palaces, numerous temples cheekily guarded by the many Iguana's proudly poking their noses in the air, it was then back on the bus to the Mexican border town of Chetumal. They say Chetumal has an American feel and that is true, on arriving in the outskirts the wide tree lined boulevards, large shopping outlets were a far cry from the many shacks and stunning blue lagoon towns we had passed on ...
Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico nikandads2008... can handle. Washed down with a couple of $1 Coronas. Next stop was Vallalodolid. On the way into town we toured the amazing underground Cenotes or artesian wells at Dzitnip. One had stalactites hanging into the cool clear water and the Cenote Samula we swam in the crystal clear water with the roots of an Alamo tree dropping 50 feet down from a small hole in the roof. A shaft of sunlight shone through this hole onto the water reflecting light up onto the cave roof. It was ...
Tulum, Mexico mcgregors5We relaxed with coffee to yet another beautiful sunrise over the Caribe. We see our nigh-time inhabitants (the iguanas) have been busy on the beach and the turtles are busy in the bay munching on sea grass. The weather today is different and you could see it in the clouds of the morning sunrise. A little bit windier so we decide to stay in Akumal and visit Yal-Ku Lagoon hoping that it's calmer there. It ...
Akumal, Q Roo, Mexico nwcreolelady... up for a game. Besides the beach, I did swim in cenote mangrove with crystal blue water that was covered in underwater caves. The day before I left there was a massive beach party at a swanky little bar. There were stilt walkers and fire twirlers all dancing to some hard core trance! I ended up hitching hiking home at 3 AM to my hostel and was extremely lucky to be picked up and ...
Tulum, Mexico hildreth75... a good portion of jalapenos on it. My shrimp/pasta plate is quite tasty too, and I get so stuffed that I can only offer slight assistance with Chris' pizza. However, as we are debating whether or not we are too stuffed to even leave the table, I find a voice ordering some chocolate crepes and a cappuccino. This voice sounds vaguely like my own. ;-) Meanwhile, we watch the storefronts along 307 slowly begin to close. Tile walkways are ...
