... a glass of wine while watching the sunset. Then we headed for Clarks Seafood & Chops (a favorite eatery) for scallops and crab cakes. The combination of a warm day (Mag actually was in shorts and tee shirt for awhile), quick passage thru the last drawbridge, easy mileage with no real navigational hotspots, made for a very satisfying days run topped off with a great meal. ... way to the Hwy 17 bridge at 8+ knots in the favorable breeze. Maggie did several stints at the helm and is getting the knack of handling the boat. She seems much more at ease doing this now and her earlier tentativeness has been replaced with confidence.

... before it started raining and we took advantage of their clean empty showers. We decided it wasn’t dark yet and we didn’t want to stay in the middle of nowhere so we said "Time to get the hell outta NC". We set a course for Myrtle Beach and went on our way. We haven’t seen very many farmers markets lately and have been lacking vegetables in our lives. We spotted a stand and pulled to the side of the road. The guy that helped us was less then useful ...
