The lack of water is why Scott & I couldn't bear to live in Tucson. I smelled water as soon as I opened the door to my truck here, as sure as I could locate Lake Erie even when I couldn't see it as a toddler.

With sunny skies again this morning, we got up and out early to continue our sojourn across I-80. With a long day of driving ahead of us, I sought out quirky quick on and off the interstate things to see to break up the drive. We were quickly across the Mississippi River and into Iowa.

... delayed a week.

Had we left on the 4th, we would have been right in the middle of the snow storm. But we missed it. Because of a cold.

Sometimes, things happen for a reason. Makes you think, right?

As for our drive today? Uneventful. We got some wind and rain, but we’re safe and dry in Grand Island, Nebraska, because of a cold.

Today started like several of the last few days as our main goal is to get home in one piece. The Cheyenne KOA was full of all kinds of RV's. We were sandwiched between to big coaches. One Tiffin Allegro Bus and a Winnebago Tour, Both were tag axle. No problem, our little gas coach looked right at home. The Rose among the. . . .
