... unique. We had wound our way up a peak we could see the road wind back down to a narrow valley. Down in the valley there was a stream & a bridge for the highway to cross. Then it wound back up another peak on the other side of the valley.

... shocking! We saw bucking bronchos, bull riding, barrell racing, team roping and tie down roping. It was an experience, although when a kind American explained how they got the horses to buck I wasn't very happy. It involved a strap around a delicate area of the horses anatomy...ouch!
Because of the rain we didn't stay for the dance party afterwards, much to Abigail and Oliver's relief, no embarrassing parent moments...phew. However Charles did finally buy his cowboy ...
... I went to meet the other guests for cocktails at 5pm with Dean playing the guitar and singing to entertain us ( I could just see Ian Carley doing the same at Shepfest). Abi & Oli joined us a little later and we all had a go at throwing horseshoes round a metal stake.
At 6pm we all went to the hot tub, hoping to soothe our aching bodies after the long ride. Abi didn't take a dip but took photos instead.
Another spectacular three course meal later and it was time for ...
... archer and good with the BB guns too. Canoeing was OK but we were all expecting to do it down a river but disappointingly it was on the small trout pond where we did the fly fishing.
Abi & Oli went to the hot tub at 6pm and Charles went for a run. I got some peace and quiet on my own for an hour.
It really is a beautiful place here, everyone is so friendly and can't do enough for you.
