Today was a fun one! We had to be checked out of base hostel by 10am so we had a little lie in then went about packing up and checking out. Big bags loaded onto our back we headed to our new hostel which was about a 10 minute walk away so not too bad. However I learnt that when you stumble with a backpack on your back... It really gives you momentum to fall! We couldn't check in right away so we waited at a cafe for Laura's cousin Rachel to arrive. ...
... our games of cricket are also treasured. The children were very keen for us to participate in their games: cricket was the common "language" we all shared. For both tourist and resident alike.
v) being able to mix with the local people and going to places which probably many visitors to India would not consider going to. We certainly saw a range of aspects.
vi) our trip on the metro train of Delhi was something to experience. We certainly "got down and dirty" on ...
... over it! They seemed to be satisfied with everything in their life’s right now which made me really happy. They gave me some good advice as well.
Besides that, it was really different to travel with them since it was completely the opposite to how we normally travel. We stayed in nice hotels, took normal tours, ate nice food, etc. I felt like I was back on childhood holidays.
It will take some time before I see them again, but I’m sure that they will be doing ...
... for the England game which started at 11.30pm... unfortunately I made it to 11.30, at which point I promptly fell asleep. At least we were at least at home by that time... On Sunday, we went to the Randwick Spot Festival with a school friend of Mark's. We had a fantastic time, there were a number of bands, dancers and drama, food stalls from about 30 different restaurants and even a silent disco (memories of Benicassim Penny!).
