    ... I have never seen her so besotted. The gift shop here got a big work out, including a carved running monk. We walk around to town full of Tudor style houses visiting New Place and Nashes House. I had seen a Time Team excavation of part of the back yard where it is believed the Bard built a house where there is now a garden. Behind the Wake's house is a water canal complete with canal boats of varying sizes that are moored along the canal or along the Soar river it runs into just down the road.     Chatsworth House Michael, Mark's brother arrived at around 10 AM to take us out on a day of his holiday. He is the musical one who specialises in playing the wobble board when he comes to Australia. Over an hour's drive saw us at this opulent house dating back to the 17th Century.
