Snow!

... me the car again, but then couldn't as he was to busy with work to come get me as he lives 3 hrs drive away. So this trip I have to rely up on the bus system. That's not a problem as I used to ride the buses all the time when I lived here yrs ago. But where I am staying in South Jordan the buses are non-existent. So I can't see myself having many adventures until my filming starts.

But the snow is great! It looks so white over here and makes you miss those old wintry days in England.

"How many times was he deported?"

... my toes were tingling. Anyway, it was really nice to see Loren again. He really is a cool guy. I obviously first met him on my last trip here as I stayed with him and Maren, and we got on really well, so I consider him a good friend now. Anyway, since I was also hungry, on the way to their house Loren stopped off at Wendy's so I could get a burger. He paid for this as he said it was the least he could do for leaving me at the airport. He's such a nice guy.
That was it then for ...

Mexico on My Mind

As far as anything new in the next couple weeks, I doubt I'll be on any adventures, as my final semester of college is coming to an end and things are getting busy. However, my brother and I are planning for a road trip to Baja California, Mexico over Thanksgiving break. Going to Mexico over Thanksgiving is kinda a weird concept, because then we're actually skipping Thanksgiving, since it's a U.S. holiday. It's alright though, I was able to celebrate ...

The Utah Complex

... connect with people and it's as if we have already known each other for years. I can live in California and make plenty of friends. I can go to Hawaii and suddenly have plenty of friends. But I move back to Utah for a year, and here I am again, struggling again to relate to anyone.

I call it the Utah complex.

American Heritage Dictionary:

U·tah<br ...

Seeing the Same Place in Different Way

He never understands why people need huge houses (as we drove by many of them on the way up). I think he's right, for all of the above.

I met my family near the mouth of the canyon before we drove up, at a grocery store. We planned ...

MORMONS, STATE FAIR AND FATTIES

... dancing bear show (!) an amusing magician, played on the fair amusements and generally killed time before the rodeo started. This was a slicker performance than Meeteetse. The cowboys were much more professional and gave an action packed show. They were also fit and slim unlike most of the audience.

Addendum - apologies to anyone who did attend the fair and are their correct weights – well done and sorry for not spotting you, we were distracted.

Living in 1901!

More about the walk

... But started the climb, It was really hard. Every time I did sit down to rest I did see Vultures flying around me. That kinda freak me out. When I did get up to the top I used my camera and did a quick sweep over the view, then put up my tent. Went inside and pasted out for three hour, then when I did wake up made some food and went to sleep. Next day I had lest then a half liter of water, so I needed to find some water, and it have to go fast. But it took five hours, and ...

Day 40-41: Salt Lake City

... arrived in Utah and grew crops, crickets were eating the crops. The pioneers prayed and God sent a flock of seagulls to eat all the crickets and save the crops. Utah is also the Beehive State which is a symbol used in the Beehive House, Brigham Young's house - which we toured as well. The beehive is a symbol for industry. Then we heard an organ recital in the ...

Go Jazz!

... at least three theaters have done it since I have been here... not sure why. It was a lot of fun for me. oh... and if anyone knows this song ... I sang Times Like This from Lucky Stiff. I had lunch at Red Lobster. It was sunny but rainy outside and cheesy buscuits and clam chowder was perfect. I then went and saw Mrs. Pedigrew Lives for a Day at the movies. It was cute and I thought pretty funny at times. I suppose I have to admit, this ...
