Horrible, Horrible, Horrible

There is nothing even remotely positive to say about this hotel. I was given a smoking room after being guaranteed a non-smoking room. Even though the hotel is huge, I was told that there were no non-smoking rooms available when I called to request another room. Finally, after I would not give in, I was moved to a handicap accessible room which did not smell quite as bad. I wonder if they have any non-smoking rooms at all. The walls are paper thin here, and at around 9:00 p.m. the person in the next room got into an argument with someone and proceeded to yell the "f" word for the next 20 minutes. Not long after that, as I was changing clothes, three people opened my room door with a key and came into the room. They were embarassed and quickly left. I called the desk and the staff member simply said that the computer showed my room empty. She practically demanded to know where the other guests had gone, as if that were my problem! I asked to speak to the manager and was told that she would call me right back. Forty-five minutes later, the front desk supervisor, not the manager called me. She sounded like a teenager, and said that she would reduce my rate for the "inconvenience". I told her that changing rooms was an inconvenience, but having people walk in on me was inexcusable. She then asked me to hold while she looked into something. She never came back on the line, and never called back when I hung up after 20 minutes. The next morning when I checked out, my bill was "not ready" and I was told that I would be mailed a receipt. I was not about to let them charge my credit card without seeing what I was being charged, so they said they would hold the charges until I flew back into town at the end of the week. When I returned, they did not have the receipt ready as promised. After waiting quite awhile, they printed a receipt which had so many different charges and adjustments listed that I could not tell what I had actually been charged. The desk attendant couldn't figure it out either. Finally, the bill was adjusted to reflect a $50 discount, though I shouldn't have been charged anything for this horrible experience. Although it's right across the street from the airport, the convenient location is not worth the experience. It's a great way to get your trip off to a bad start.

Park N Fly ok, room not great

We stayed here one night before we flew out on vacation using the park and fly for $109 including 15 days of parking. The hotel was busy and the front desk staff was slow. The lady who checked us in remarked to someone else she couldn't find a non-smoking room (which we reserved.) She didn't say anything to us, and handed us our keys. We found the room to be in need of repair and a smoking room. We were not told it was a smoking room, but it had ashtrays and the bedding smelled of smoke. We left our car here, and thankfully it was not broken into while we were gone. I don't think I would stay here again.

Bad Choice

The front desk was slow and not very courteous. We booked a non-smoking two double bed room, and at check-in the best they could do was a smoking king suite with a rollaway. The floor had cold wet spots in living area. Would definitely not recommend.

Paid for parking and Car was broken into...

We found the room on Hotwire and the place was OK. I've stayed there a few times before. Large with many wings. Dated rooms but OK. We were flying to CA for the week and they convinced us to park at the hotel for $5 a night which is cheaper than the airport. Sounds good to me. When we returned there had been an ice storm and it was very cold. The shuttle pulls up to our car and the first thing I see is the black plastic bag covering the passengers window. I hop out and inspect it. The door frame was damaged and the radio was ripped out. We went to confront the manager and he actually tried to hide from us stating it was not their responsibility, we signed a waiver in the contract. I asked him to produce the contract and they could not find it. He offered us no help whatsoever and eventually walked off. The girl at the counter was helpful and embarrassed by the managers actions. We talked to the security guy and he said that cars are broken into every week. The owners were supposed to put in video monitors but had never gotten around to it.

Pleasant Stay at the Four Points Sheraton Airport

This is a pleasant enough hotel in a location very convenient to the airport and southside of Milwaukee. Staff was nice, room was quite large, although somewhat hard to find, the place is laid out a little strange. Could have used better lighting in the room, and a full length mirror. Overall a pleasant stay.

Room was great

While the halls may be old and the place very large, the room was wonderful and recently redone. The beds were cushy, the place clean and I will be staying there again.

Very Satisfied

I was thrilled with how my stay went. The staff at the hotel made me feel right at home, and made sure I got whatever I neeeded. The managment was very friendly, and directed me to good restaurants and fun things to do in the city. The room was very spacious, and I had a wonderful nights sleep. The room was big enough for me, and had really comfortable chairs! I needed a few more towels, and I pressed "0" on the phone, and a very friendly employee was knocking on my door withing two minutes. I also got a call from the front desk just making sure everything was in order in the room. What Service. They don't have a pool, but for me that wasn't a big issue. If you want a great hotel with a pool, I would also recommend Sheraton Brookfield Hotel. I was very satisfied with my stay, and highly recommend this hotel. I will be back. Enjoy your vacation.

Lots of mildew on my shower curtain. This place needs a serious renovation.

Day 41. Sunday 5 July 2015
Visit the old town of Cedarburg. Walked the main street. Lots f lovely buidings and a restored Art Deco theatre. We then lunched at a park beside the last covered bridge to be built - not sure if that is in Wisconsin or In USA.

We have been so impressed with both Minnesota and Wisconsin. They are beautiful states.

Someone we met told us we should drive along Lake Drive going in to Milwaukee. We are very flexible and if someone recommends ...

... the original school had been replaced. Our final stop was Kathy's old house.  It was still there but almost completely hidden by trees and hard to see. Like they say you can't go home again.   Thankfully, you can keep home in your memory.  Heading back south to continue our trip to Milwaukee we stopped at Warren Dunes State Park.  This is a beach on Lake Michigan. There were lots of bathers and an incredibly high dune. Lake Michigan looks like an ocean ...

Day 5 - Resting in Milwaukee

Today was my first rest day, which was nice since I woke up with pretty sore legs. Not including tooling around Milwaukee today, I've ridden about 250 miles so far. I probably did another 20 or so exploring today, but without all the weight on the back of the bike. After some oatmeal, I gave Betsy a much needed bath, adjusted a fender that was rubbing on my tire, and greased the chain. After riding around a bit and not hearing anything, I realized how noisy the chain had been for ...
