We went back to the hotel for a quick pit-stop; shower, change & rest. It was much needed. Then off to the Empire State Building for an evening viewing. We spent midnight (of my birthday) on the 87th Observation Deck. This wasn't planned that way however, it took us an hour & a half to get to that point! But I'll save that story for Tim to share tomorrow...

Grand Central Station was impressive. Ornate ceiling and over a hundred "tracks" platforms.
Onwards to Rockerfeller Building and 'Top of the Rock'. Coolio. Rock music in the lift and the lift shaft is lit up like landing strip- gets you in the mood. Glorious sunshine and fab views. Complimented ESB and glad we've done both.
Next stop Museum of Modern Art. Great Van Gogh, Monet, Miro, Picasso ...
