Thomasville, North Carolina, United States mercedesbumpToday was another beautiful day with sun shining on falling leaves. Beau and I walked past the "No Trespassing" sign onto Lowes' empty field. We’d always wanted to go over there, but the grass was always so tall, we couldn’t. They have cut the grass or at least mashed it down so today was our day. We didn’t find anything, but we did enjoy the adventure. He bounded thru the tall wet grass and had a great ...

Not exactly poached salmon and c******nay, so I will try to spare all of us a blow by blow.

Beau was very excited to see me. But then, Beau is always excited to see ANYBODY. But I’m pretending it was a special welcome just for me. It was dark and rainy when I arrived so we didn’t get to take a walk. Tomorrow we’ll begin our exploration of all the "forbidden ...
Stokesdale, North Carolina, United States padrepamPacked up and headed out around 5 pm, a full 5 hours afer my original departure time. Oh well, departure days are generally hectic. Daily sesh then headed out to scoop Ryan up. Met up with Christa and Sumner, equipped Betsy (my car) with a roof bag, and headed down to the beach for a picture together. Standing with our feet in the Atlantic Ocean, we snapped the shot and headed out for the open road.

I called backseat. <br ...
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States ktowers86... looming over us and staring at our beds. shudder. The rain also seems to continue to haunt us on this trip, as we have yet to have a load out that wasn't in some sort of drizzle, or in today's case, a downpour.

On another exciting note, I had lunch at Mellow Mushroom, which I haven't had since living in Gainesville. I had a tasty chicken and cheese pizza, with olive oil and garlic base, and the yummy lightly parm'ed crust. Delicious!

Greensboro, North Carolina, United States cindysellsjohnsWe didn't make the Pancake Pantry unfortunately this morning as I was hoping to bring Pops to one last pancake stop on our way home. But thankfully, he was feeling a little better this morning and was able to get a bagel down at the breakfast bar downstairs at the hotel. We got out a little after 6am and drove Pops around some of the highlights of downtown Nashville- Broadway, the honky tonk bars, Union Street ...
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States heelsoutwest... The campground is really nice. Very foresty, but it's actually just a short drive from the freeway. Makes it convenient. Perhaps we'll stay longer next time. One thing I've noticed on the drive-the Carolina's are absolutely beautiful. It seems we're crossing yet another river about every 10 minutes or so. And all you see along the freeway are trees. Lots of big, beautiful trees. No biilboards, no power lines, just trees and water. I love it.
