We got up at 6:45, had breakfast and the van was there to pick us up. Mark paid for the van and the tip for the driver. He is so generous. The driver wasn't sure which way to go when we left the hotel because so many streets were closed due to the flooding. It had rained most of the night. We found out from the doorman at the Cliff House that we could go back out the one way street past the hotel. Mark called us today to make sure we got home ...
... indicates that I rode 676.4 miles yesterday. The most I have done in a day and an amount i would not relish repeating anytime soon. I made it home for a supper waiting for me. It is good to be back home and I will try to put off all the things waiting to be done for at least a couple hours.

... I actually went to book the flights, I waited until the afternoon on a Tuesday because I had read an article that said seats often go on sale in the afternoons in the middle of the week. Sure enough, the price had dropped $60 from that morning. One other interesting thing, my Mom had to pay about $50 more than my grandparents simply because the airline only offered "2 more seats at this price". She didn't mind too much.

While on the Pony ride we saw the Train go past. This one was on real tracks and went through the North American Exhibit so it was a must. And again this only cost $1 each. It was a great trip through the exhibits crossing the path way with boom gates holding pedestrians back while the train past. (Perth Zoo take note - yours is not a train unless it runs on a track).
