Wyndham Dallas North

We stayed at the Galleria Wyndam for 3 nights. It was a very pleasant stay with no problems. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is not quite as "nice" as I expected, but was still fine. My children enjoyed the pool because it has part of it indoors and part of it outdoors where you can swim from one to the other. We did take the shuttle from the hotel to the Galleria and were picked up again in a timely manner. It leaves the hotel every hour and picks up at the Galleria every hour and will make stops any where in a 3 mile radius.

While saying all of this that we had a pleasant stay at the hotel, I would not necessarily stay here again. Traveling with children, it is just so much easier to stay someplace with a mini-kitchen to keep milk and snacks handy and that provides a breakfast. There are too many good choices for that now!

Our recent stay was probably our fifth at this hotel this year. We overnight in Dallas frequently for business/leisure. Every visit we have found all of the staff extremely friendly and accomodating, to a person. Our rooms are always spotless and the bedding wonderful. Wyndham's free "By Request" program is a great bonus assuring you your choice of welcome amenities and special requests. This hotel is in a great location and light sleepers can request rooms opposite the freeway. For the price, it is a great value in Dallas!

I was in Dallas recently on business and stayed at this hotel. The lobby was nice and clean, the staff was helpful, and my room was very nice. I was a little surprised to have to pay extra in order to have high speed internet though. Seems like these most hotels are just including it in the price of the room. You have to pay extra for it at this hotel.

Stopped in by mistake because I thought our reservation was at this place. Glad it wasn't. The front desk staff was rude and not helpful in directing us to the right Wyndham Hotel. Gave us directions without considering we were from out of town and didn't know Dallas well. When I asked for more specific directions, the person was quick to note she had to attend to her customers. Also, the front lobby was not very clean.

We are a family of four and stayed for a weekend. Great location! The hotel lobby is clean and the staff is very welcoming although they did not really have information about area restaurants or attractions. But that's okay -- some hotels have it and some don't. What was more of a concern was the tiny rooms, noise, and dirty pool. We had a room with two double beds -- the usual way we travel as a family. The beds seemed smaller than normal and were uncomfortable because of the strange sheet arrangement. The windows are not built to block out the noise of the freeways -- although the view was nice -- and the walls themselves, as another reviewer mentioned, seemed porous: we could hear a crying baby very clearly.

Bathrooms are also small although nice enough otherwise. Great towels. The pool was unpleasant, though. Smoking is allowed in the indoor as well as the outdoor space -- which surprised us. So if someone is smoking inside, the entire enclosed pool area fills with smoke. Yuck. Of course it's no big deal if someone is smoking outside, but the double threat was annoying. The jacuzzi wasn't working properly and the area was strewn with candy wrappers. The water itself was dirty and filled with gravel and rocks. I think that was probably an anomaly -- a day camp was spending the night there with some rowdy kids -- but still the atmosphere was not what we expected.

So -- it was not horrible but defintely not as nice as I expected. I think we'll look for another hotel for our next Dallas sojourn.

#1 Not Friendy or Accommodating, Called ahead to request for my client coming into town on redeye, for early check-in. Desk Supervisor, Absolutely not!.... I booked this because of seeing early check in on the corporate website. #2 Rude on the phone. #3 Read on the Expedia Review site. NOT FRIENDLY also..... but thought I would give them a chance.....also the pool looked nice since my clients had kids. Now I regret!

Stayed at Wyndham last night for New Years Eve. Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean & beds & pillows were great. Front desk staff were friendly & helpful with info & calling cabs, etc.

We didn't try onsite restaurant but did visit the bar. Decorations for New Years but no activities for celebration. Definetly room for inprovement in bar. Bartender was not exactly Mr. Personality and seemed inconveinenced. He said bar usually closes at midnight but he stayed open till 12:30 because it was New Years Eve.

Friend booked rooms on hotels.com. We could have got better rates by using Wyndham's site and also receive Wyndham By Request benefits if we had done so. Guess it does pay to search several options before booking.

I would stay at this location again & will recommend it to my friends visiting Dallas.

We booked this hotel at the last minute as we were diverted from New Orleans because of Hurricane Ivan. We knew nothing about Dallas and this made a great base for a brief exploration. It is situated right near the new shopping centre, has comfy rooms and cheap internet access. We were a little disappointed with the hotel breakfast which had a limited choice. Don't miss the JFK Museum or the rodeo, which is a great family night out.

Nice hotel. Has all that Wyndhams offer: ByRequest, plush bedding, high speed internet access, friendly service, etc. Can't say enough good things about the Dallas North. The Galleria Mall they boast to being located by was under construction. It will be a great shopping location once the mall renovations are complete.

Great place to stay & shop at the Galleria. I was able to park the car & take the complimentary shuttle to shop & to restaurants. Room was nice & clean & quiet. Bath was kind of small but had several nice amenities such as a scale & makeup mirror. Housekeeping requests were promptly & cheerfully fulfilled. Front desk personnel were also very courteous & accommodating. My only disappointment was the breakfast buffet in the restaurant. Save some money & eat breakfast at la Madeleine in the Galleria. Overall, it was a great experience.
