... power nap we pop downtown with just one thing on our agenda.... CHEERS!!!... We head for the replica one as there are 2 in Boston... This one is an exact replica of the set and is located in Faneuil Market Square. Great staff in there with a lovely atmosphere... In fact Boston at night is beautiful... Lots of bars, restaurants and nice people! I have "Rebecca's Fish & Chips" and a pint of cherry coke! Yum! We are pretty whacked after a loooong day so head back for a much ...

... the atmosphere you are seeking.

After dinner I walked back to my hotel and was able to catch the 7:45pm Hilton fireworks show from the beach. I then did some last minute souvenir shopping since this was my last night in Hawaii.

Saturday was my last day. I had one more surf lesson booked for 9am at Ty Gurney. I arrived there about 8:45am and got assigned my instructor CJ. We walked over to the beach and since I was there the other day, ...

Apologies for poor photos - I promise the Rio and Buenos Aires ones to come are much better!

The Boston trip was unplanned. My last day in San Francisco Edel had mentioned she would be there while I was in NY. I researched a Megabus and low and behold it was great value for the night. I flew from Vancouver to Montreal where I did yet another horriffic US immigration. I honestly must look like I have a belly full of crack filled condoms the way ...

Wyndham Boston, Great hotel, wonderful service

    from anonymous

If you are looking for a first class hotel to stay at in the downtown Boston area, this is the hotel for you. It is located in the financial district and within walking distance to everything. We didn't have to take a cab anywhere while we were there. The hotel concierge was wonderful and gave us directions to any place we needed to go. He also made wonderful recommendations for dining which was very also helpful.

Sign up for the Wyndham by Request program on Wyndham's web site which has wonderful rewards for staying there as well. Upon arrival they have a drink and snack of your choice waiting for you. You can also request the type of room and pillows you would like as well. We wanted a room higher up to get a view and we got exactly that and had a great view of the harbor. Overall a wonderful experience and a great hotel and will always stay here when coming back to Boston.

    Excellent location, great value!

    from BayAreaRes

We spent 3 nights at the Wyndham Boston over the July 4th weekend. The location is fantastic, we walked everywhere, over to the Northend for some great Italian food, a 15 minutes walk to China Town for some wonderful and reasonable Chinese seafood, Quincy Market is just around the corner. Even the airport is only 2 stops away on the T. You definitely do not need a car at all if you're staying at the Wyndham Boston. In fact, you don't want to have a car, since they charge $22 a night for valet parking.

There were 4 of us (2 adults 2 teenagers), and we got a 1 bedroom suite, it was a beautiful room. Because we have Wyndham by Request, we were also given a suite on the highest floor (15th floor), not that it made that much difference, since there's no view from the room, but I think it helps cut down any traffic or street noise. With Wyndham by Request, you also get drinks and snacks for your choice upon arrival (a nice touch), and free long distance calls (a big plus, and we definitely used it a lot). The suite was beautiful, with dark wood and high ceilings, rich and warm colors, the bathroom had marble tiles.

There were 3 telephones, one was a cordless. We didn't have our laptop, but we could have had free internet access had we brought our machine.

The only complaint we had was that they charged us $20 a night for a rollaway (they did have a sofa bed, but we needed another bed, since we have 2 teenagers), whcih I thought was a little steep. The concierge and guest services were great, we asked for extra towels and got them within seconds, we asked for a rollaway, and it was delivered in 5 minutes. Unlike the Embassy at Logon, they never showed up with the rollaway, and didn't even call.

    Highly recommended!

    Best Hotel in Boston

This is a great hotel to stay at in Boston. I have stayed there 3 times in the past year, just got back today and will be there next weekend with my family. The service at the hotel is tremendous - always - they are always very helpful - from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. Joining Wyndham by Request is a must. A short walk to Quincy Market, the Aquarium and the North End. This is my favorite hotel to stay in by far.

Wonderful experience from front desk to check out

I travel to Boston very often and I always stay at this hotel. The service, staff, and accomodations can't be beat. HIGHLY recommend joining the WYNDHAM BY REQUEST PROGRAM.. Its free and if available you get a free room upgrade.. I have always been upgraded. I love that there is a personal note and snack of MY choice waiting IN MY ROOM when i check in!! How cool is that?? The concierge is TOPS!!!! The location of this hotel is perfect!! Is it obvious I love this place?? Stay here you wont regret it!!

    Superb Hotel

    from anonymous

We stayed at the Wyndham Boston on 4th April for 3 nights. We were all totaly delighted with the spacious two room suite that we were upgraded to with 'Wyndham by Request', we also enjoyed the complimentary cookies and soda. Any extras are very expensive, so dont drink the water in the room on arrival, wait until the turn down lady arrives (about 5-6pm) she has free bottled water, chocolates, extra toiletries (soothing eye pads ... mmm). Nothing is too much trouble to the concierge - we booked the boston duck tour through them, lost our ticket and had a replacement immediately. Book through expedia for very low rates. And don't forget to sign up to Wyndham by request via their web site before you travel.

Great location, great service, great room, etc... The room was spacious and Wyndham By Request really works well.

Great Price for a nice hotel!

    from anonymous

join 'wyndhambyrequest' and you will not be disappointed....they give members the 'best room available' when you check in and we had a very nice suite for $99 a night this past weekend (1/24/03 to 1/26/03). the hotel is in the middle of the financial district and within walking distance of the north end, the waterfront, quincy market, the common, beacon hill, downtown crossing, the theater district, chinatown...it was a great visit for us. the staff is very courteous and professional, particularly the housekeeping staff, and the hotel is really very nice. we had a great view of the harbor from our room and the only complaint we had (and it is really minor--borderline picky) was that the carpet in the room seemed kind of old and cheesy. we will definately stay at the wyndham again in the future.

    An enjoyable stay

    from anonymous

I spent last weekend at Wyndham Boston and enjoyed my family's stay immensely. I would also like to thank previous reviewers as they provided a preview of all the positives I would find at this hotel as well as the potential pitfalls(ex. cost of water bottles in room and valet parking). The hotel's "By Request" program is a must. The hotel allowed us to check in early without added cost. We were provided a complimentary small fruit plate, bottled water and soda in room. This is available on-line at their web site. The staff was very friendly, helpful and kind to our family (2 adults and 3 children under age 8). They were always available with unprompted questions for us (Do you need directions? Do you need dinner recommendations? etc.) The room was well appointed, very attractively furnished and comfortable.

    Wyndham Boston

    from anonymous

I recently stayed at the Wyndham Hotel in Boston. We reserved three rooms- two kings and one double. When the first party checked in they were put in the double as "no kings were yet available."When the rest of the party checked in the clerk tried to have us switch rooms to accomodate the beds we had requested?Considering that the people who were asked to "swap rooms" do not know eachother very well, this is unacceptable. Also,we had provided the hotel with a credit card for each party in which charges were swapped(my parking went on the other people's bill and the room they paid for went on mine?)We are still sorting out the bills.
