Hi all,

I am creating this blog to help chronicle my upcoming trip to the Holy Land. First and foremost, I'd like to thank Kim for giving me the opportunity to make this journey. Without her support and encouragement, this would not be happening.

As I make this once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage, I ...

Heading to Paris & The Flight Is Full!

... three coach class seats, we were just so relieved to be on the flight, even if they were lovely center seats for the next 81/2 hours!

We all said, "see you in Paris" and settled in our seats scattered among the coach cabin. Thank goodness each seat has their own television screen now days; otherwise, it would have been horrible. It wasn't so bad watching movies all night long. Absolutely loved, "Nebraska"!

Well the last 2 weeks have been busy. My co-worker has been on vacation, so I have assumed his work on top of mine & it hasn't left much time for anything else, but I have found time here & there for planning my biggest trip ever!

So here's the finished product....

Yep- 16 states & approximately 6000 miles in 2 weeks. VERY ambitious to say the least I think.

The highlights of the whole trip for me will be:

    Good experience & great price

    from

We were pleasantly surprised by how helpful and attentive the staff was at this hotel. Everyone we met was very friendly from the minute we arrived until we left the parking lot. The front desk even called the room about an hour after check in to make sure everything was what we expected. Good location (close to attractions and easy access to I-85) and an even better price make this Wyndham the place we'll stay next time we visit Atlanta.

    GREAT!

    from

We had an incredible stay at this hotel. The staff was so very helpful and friendly. Our room was nice and each request was met quickly. It was convenient to the MARTA, Hardrock Cafe and the CNN studio. We would choose to stay here again!

Read this before going to atlanta

    from

Rooms are small but otherwise nice, tv did not have a remote, but my main complaint is that being from out of town we were given completely wrong directions from the concierge and ended up driving around for hours lost! To top that off we were lost driving on peachtree street downtown atlanta at about 11:00 at night. If you have never been to atlanta...dont' go out after dark. We were in gridlock traffic and to be quite serious it looked like a rap video. It was NOT a good place to be and we were quite alarmed. After being stuck in the middle of our gangster traffic jam we finally made it back to the hotel and were very very unhappy with our "experience" of atlanta and with the concierge! My advice...if you're going to atlanta DEFINATELY stay outside of the city!

    Loved the Wyndham!

    from

I had a wonderful time here at this hotel. It's beautiful and the staff is so kind...especially the doormen. They went out of their way for me every time they saw me. Great rate online, too!

    What a delightful experience!

I had never stayed at a Wyndham's hotel. I reserved the room based on the feedback of others, and they were right on! The hotel was fabulous, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! The rooms were spacious and CLEAN! I also recommend signing up for their rewards program..its free.. you get a lot of goodies in your room...drinks, fruit platter, etc!

I will look for a Wyndham's from now on!

    Thx!

    Very friendly staff

    from

Before I book a hotel, I have learned to check with tripadvisor.com to look for reviews. Now I am making an earnest effort to contribute my reviews after I've been to the hotels as well.

This is a quaint hotel situated very conveniently in the downtown area, right next to the Olympic Park and CNN center. Like the other reviews, I too experienced the friendliness of all the staff members - always eager to help. It offered a very affordable rate. Rooms are not big, but adequate. it's within a very short walk from Marta Station. So wheel your luggage off the baggage claim area, hop on the Marta right there at the airport and for $1.75, it'll place you two short blocks from this hotel.

    Great Hotel. Thin Walls.

    from

Stayed at the Wyndham for 2 nights in March 2004.

The staff was one of the most attentive and friendliest staffs I have ever encountered at a hotel. In addition, the location is wonderful with it being close to the CNN Center, Peachtree St., Coca-cola museum, and many more attractions. There are many things to do and see within walking distance.

However the walls in the rooms are very thin. We could hear the conversations in the rooms next to us, and the other guests were not yelling.

In summary, highly suggest staying at the Wyndham if you are a deep sleeper.

    Wyndham

This was a GREAT hotel! We were a liittle scared because we booked this hotel through the internet, but when we arrived at the hotel we found it to be LOVELY! This hotel is about 4 blocks from CNN and the Georgia Dome. We requested three rooms together with a different discount for each room, and our request were met. The rooms were great with marble bathrooms and recliners. The staff especially the concierge were excellent. They could answer any question that was asked. I would reccomend this hotel to ANYONE looking for luxury staying in the Atlanta area.

    Very nice, good location

    from

This is a very clean and elegant hotel in the heart of downtown. The staff was very attentive and memorably friendly, the lobby and public spaces were attractive, and the room, while a touch small, was just really nice. I stayed here on business and got a great rate through the ByRequest webrate program. It was a short walk from the CNN center, a number of downtown restaurants, and the underground mall, while being close to the downtown businesses. For the price, I couldn't ask for much more.

    Attentive staff

    from

Very good standard hotel with the only problem being the cost of breakfast: orange juice with standard two eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast (no coffee): $25 for two persons. Being a business area, there are very few eating places within blocks of the hotel if you are on foot. Evening meals in the bar/restaurant are based on Spanish nibbles known as Tapas - looks nice but to have a good meal costs the earth!
