Historic hotel in a great location

This hotel is located in a great neighbourhood, within walking distance to many attractions, and steps away from the subway. Rooms are quite small, but that is to be expected in NYC.

Interestingly, Nikola Tesla lived in rooms 3327 and 3328 for the last 10 years of his life.

          Nice place but overpriced

Just down the road from the Empire State Building and walking distance to a lot of places. The rooms are good but for the price could be better. Scaffolding surrounds the ground floor (and looks like it has for a while). Overall, nice place but overpriced.

          Overpriced and over there!

Smallest room possible, no amenities in the hotel which was covered in scaffolding. An information desk who didn't know where The Lincoln Center was and had no city maps. And all for $400 a night!

De kamer die we hadden was akelig klein voor het geld dat je betaalt, maar je zit wel midden in New York.

As I said, nice hotel, okay. It's clean, well taken care of. Obviously an excellent place just in general. But it's right across from the train station. End of story. Didn't eat in their restaurant (I'm in NYC, so waaaay too many options for that).

          A picnic in the park

... s we stocked up on supplies for a picnic (my god I love that store!) and headed off to the park. While looking for a nice spot to have our picnic a local decided to take it upon himself to become our tour guide and single-handedly change the general perception of New York hospitality. After being dragged around for a good half an hour we finally managed to extricate ourselves from his overbearing friendliness and settled down for ...
