My tour guide walks me to the bottom and proceeds to tell me that he's seen the wall so many times that he'll be waiting in the car. Oh. I mean, I wanted to explore at my own pace but I thought I purchased a tour to get some info....not the 30 second heavily accented Chinese run-down in the car during rush-hour traffic while I was being jolted to and from from the evasive ...

When you dream of hundreds of rainbow colored balloons reaching for the heavens while you walk along a beautiful green hill amidst the warmth of a beautiful sun set, you know that 37 letters of petitions and thanksgiving will reach the Almighty and that faith, hope and love, against all odds, will prevail.

Woke up early this morning to find the sunrays struggling to reach mother earth despite the cloudy and polluted air hovering much of the sky. Attended the church service in Chinese and didn't understand much of the sermon as it was spoken in heavily accented Baoding accent (not my fault). As I looked at the people around me who were mostly a head shorter then me, it came to my attention that most of these people were from the village. As in Chinese village, or 农民, I ...
