Random Happenings in Cantabria
... that one day was yesterday.
Savannah and I just had the worst pizza in the world( lets just say it had a MOUNTAIN of weird slimy bacon, a pile of onions, a few slices of mozzarella, all on a flavorless matzo-like crust). Savannah headed back to the piso and I took a walk towards the water(until it started raining). As I was walking back, I inevitably walked past Meson Luis and as I quickly looked in I saw a woman bar tender, a kid and what appeared to be ...
A little bit of Sevilla in San Vicente
... to dance Sevillanas because in Sevilla, Sevillanas is SERIOUS BUSINESS.
What is Sevillanas you ask? Well, it is a type of flamenco and the dance of Feria de Abril in Sevilla. Maria, my host sister in Sevilla, tried to teach Melanie and I how to do it....and we FAILED. Well, to be fair, Melanie was pretty good! Jose Luis, who is our other "beginner" is hilarious ...

Obviously we do not have the years of skills necessary to perform such an act and we were given this machine that attaches to the top of the cider bottle and looks like an old man pouring. You place your glass in the special holder ...
First Week OVER!
... get some fresh air.
Savannah and I continue to plant ourself in 1 of 3 cafes to use internet and do all our work! I have been working on activities about the UN and powerpoints about the American revolution for next week! When you don' have internet in your house, you learn to appreciate it...along with dryers. I have a running list of everything that I need to do on the internet every day.
Adios for now!
