... have for decades. From the very top of the vineyard, assuming it's a clear day, you can see the Golden Gate Bridge, Oakland and the Mayacamas mountains to the west. With official duties complete we headed into town to check in at the El Dorado hotel. With my ivory handled six shooters locked away (no weapons in the saloon) Trace and I pondered our options for a venue that would pour our first cleansing ale of the afternoon. Decision made the first port ...

Chris has some serious motors, including 2 Ferraris, 2 Rolls Royce, 2 Deloreans and more. He also has about thirty different bikes, mostly English Triumphs, I’ve never seen anything like it! 4th Dec. cont.

We fuelled up in Petaluma and stopped at a cheese factory we passed on the way and tried a few of their samples. We arrived at the Visitor Centre at Point Reyes around 3pm and with their help planned a couple of things to do before it got too dark. Firstly, we walked the Earthquake Trail. A short walk near the San Andreas Fault which explained how earthquakes happen, ...

Now that we felt somewhat competent on our bikes after the semi-loaded weekend of riding, it was time to step it up a notch with some new variables. Thanks to a Living Social deal, we began with a visit to City Cyclery in San Anselmo to fine tune our fit on our bikes. Their awesome and humorous bike fitting guy, Seth, assessed our body position and made comfort-maximizing adjustments to the seat, handlebar, and cleats. Yes, cleats, so that starting now our ...
