    ... in Amsterdam, to the time we got back to our hotel it had only been approx. half an hour.

    It had been a very long day and we were all tired. So tired in fact that after I uploaded our photos from the day, we went to bed. I typed this blog entry this morning on the bus en route to Cologne, Germany.

    ... in the small town museum but the town didn't have much else to offer so we left after lunch and headed towards Hoorn a bit further up the west side of the Markermeer.     ... back to the bike shop, on the way we stopped at a supermarket which had a dj and music blaring! James and Ali went in side whilst we waited with the bikes. We noticed that everyone seemed to be coming out with cake or flowers or both. So we assumed it must be the opening of the new store, it was like a massive street party out the front, people dancing and singing!     Today we had a wonderful time at the Van Gogh museum which is not far from our hotel. I took many photo's of the original Van Gogh paintings and was quite delighted to see these originals.
