    ... nice, he went over to his friends waiting in the car and as they were trying to figure out how to tell us the way, the driver just said, "follow us"! These young college kids who were probably not going in the direction of our hotel at all took the time to drive to the hotel as we followed them on our bikes.

    Upon further inspection, I must have looked so pathetically tired, they must have taken pity on me.

    ... it as Anne Frank's Diary's house. I had to remind her that Diary wasn't part of her name. It's hard to know what to say about the experience. I think we were in some way prepared for the sadness of Anne's story having both studied the book at school, but it did help to remind us of the tragedy. We also went to see the Van Gogh museum.     I met with a friend of a friend from Aus and her boy yesterday. We took a FREE ferry to get her car. Apparently parking in Central Amsterdam costs about €100 per day! She parks in an industrial estate just a 10 min ferry ride away.
