      We reached the town and stopped in the Visitors centre and museum to learn more. $5 each bought us access to all of the houses that are open to the curious and we headed off down the main street.       ... We went up and down the hillside seeing about 100 petroglyphs while walking about a mile. It was very cool and only took a little more than an hour. From there we had a decision to make. We could head towards Carlsbad and get to Roswell (our targeted destination for camping tonight) before dark or we could make another stop.
