I'm sitting on the balcony of my hotel in downtown Dubai looking at the worlds tallest man made building, and I'm thinking I am one lucky girl! Just when I think it can't get more amazing, it does. I jump back on the metro and head to Al Ras station. This station itself is an attraction, it has lots of pictures of traditional pursuits and old buildings, of men riding camels and horses, of the old wind towers in houses and of falcons. I head into the heritage area and view the original Al Maktoum house which is well preserved, very interesting and only cost me 3 dirhams ...
