      Philadelphia, PA: Day 1

I realised late last night that Rachael had got back to me and wanted me to get those boots for her after all, but we needed to leave about 10:00 am to get our train to Philly and I didn't have enough time to get downtown and back again. I rushed to the nearest store and luckily they had a pair in the right size, not quite the same style - slightly different again. Planned to watch The Grinch tonight but the wifi is awful and the chargers by my bed don't work, awesome! iPod it is. Peace out! ...

... or after I go to the Zoo.

It isn't long now until I am home. Yet it seems like only yesterday that I left. But keep tuned in. I will have 3 final blogs once I am back to take us up to the 30 November. I already know what one will be about. But I must keep you in suspense. Surprises are fun after all!

Archives tomorrow...and to post the postcards...yes, I should have done it earlier, but I am easily distracted...

      Until tomorrow.

... much favoured by foreign dignitaries and their entourages. The street in front of the hotel is blocked by limos with signs like “Tanzania” and “Tanzania spouse” in their front windows. Some delegations apparently prefer a little more anonymity – like the occupants of a line of limos with an unrecognizable flag in the windshield and the name of the country in Arabic. Whatever, those responsible for security aren’t taking ...
