Left the beautiful north woods this morning. My neighbors in the State Park Campground, Bruce and Holly, issued a most gracious invitation to camp in their driveway in Boise on my way back to Cody if I took that route. As I have said before, you meet some of the greatest people out here on the road!
... to go pick a wildflower to put as a centerpiece. Well, as I was looking for something to hold the flower, I found a candle! Perfect. I then lit the candle with some matches that I'd gotten a week before with Dylan from a restaurant called Kush. It was the most perfect meal. After Breakfast Talita called Johnny and we met at the local grocery store and headed for a couple of good areas to pick fresh wild blackberries. We must have picked $20.00 worth of these little gems. Blackberries grow wild in this part of Washington. It's a little early in the season, but there were still a lot to pick. Another really hot day, so we're looking forward to getting back to some cooler Oregon weather (at least we hope it will be!).
We're staying at the Wildhorse Resort and Casino in Pendleton and our room is on the 10th floor. Great view of the sunset.

... labor was cheaper, at 1 bowl of rice per day and 5 cents per week. The tour was well done, by a retired high school teacher. After that tour we shot over to the Pendleton Factory. That was a good tour as well. They don't do a whole lot at this factory anymore; most of their product is made in China. Hmmmm, made in China.
All in all, I will give Pendleton two thumbs up with an apple. We had a good stay.
