In Pendleton, we toured the Pendleton Underground. Story goes, back in late 1800's there was no law in this town and merchants were getting ripped off. Their goods would arrive at train depot and not get much further. So, the merchants hired Chinese labor to dig 4 miles of tunnels under the city.
