    ... of spawning. Most come through in September. There are several ladies who sit at a window and count each fish for species! what a job. Wonder what they do for fun. There was an osprey nest with the mom feeding her chick on the structur Did I mention wind. There is always a wind through the Columbia River Gorge. Lewis and Clark were much more than an adventurers. The folks who made it to the Oregon coast were brave!

    Today I got a late start because after 2 weeks on the bike I have finally figured out what I need and don't need.     A beautiful drive up out of California... Crossing the stateline and having fun taking large steps between California and Oregon! As we drove we came in and out of different vegetative zones…lodge pole pines alternating with wide, high mountain valleys under cultivation and also many with cattle grazing.
