      ... of spawning. Most come through in September. There are several ladies who sit at a window and count each fish for species! what a job. Wonder what they do for fun. There was an osprey nest with the mom feeding her chick on the structur Did I mention wind. There is always a wind through the Columbia River Gorge. Lewis and Clark were much more than an adventurers. The folks who made it to the Oregon coast were brave!

      Today I got a late start because after 2 weeks on the bike I have finally figured out what I need and don't need. So I started by designating one pannier to what I'm going to send back home from Bend. I figure I just lightened my load by about 10-12 lbs. I can't wait to get it in the mail tomorrow.       ... Guest Lodges in Sunriver/La Pine, OR instead of riding an additional 25 miles into Bend. They have accommodation and rent motorcyles also so my curiousity was piqued. Doug and Gloria run the Diamond Stone Guest Lodge and have several other accommodations they rent. As we drove we came in and out of different vegetative zones…lodge pole pines alternating with wide, high mountain valleys under cultivation and also many with cattle grazing.
